Courtney has been passionate about social justice and human behavior all of her life.  She has been working as a Social Worker for the past 18 years.  She has worked in her local community of Los Angeles in programs serving those experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, and in fighting for equality and justice for the most in need.  She was an adjunct professor at University of Southern California for seven years.  She has also worked internationally (South Africa, England, Cambodia, and Uzbekistan) doing public health work, HIV, and anti-trafficking programming.  Courtney currently lives in Los Angeles with her family and works for a program aimed to end the incarceration of individuals with mental health needs through diversion and community services.
